For 26 years, CSSSA has sought the most talented high school aged visual, literacy, media and performing artists in California. The teenagers who are selected are designed California Arts Scholars and attend one of the country s premier summer arts institute on the campus of the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, this year from July 14- August 10, 2012. If selected, you will have the opportunity to spend 4 weeks studying and working with professional artists, writers, and performers of national stature. The talented teenagers who successfully complete the program receive 3 units of California State University course credit. In addition, 40% of students receive financial aid.
