SATURDAY SCHOOL-CAHSEE PREP
Saturday School applications are now available in the Counseling Office. Saturday school will start January 21, from 8:00am-12:30pm and will only run for 7 Saturdays. If you have any questions stop by the Counseling Office and speak to Ms. Pelayo. (M. PELAYO)

10TH GRADE CAHSEE PARENT/STUDENT MEETING
Attention all 10th Grade students: There is a mandatory parent meeting that you and your parent must attend this Thursday, January 12 at 6:00pm. in the Cafeteria. You will receive information about the CAHSEE and how to prepare for the exam. Pass the CAHSEE on your first try! (V. TORRES-RING)

TRACK C GOLDEN EAGLES
If you are Track C and a Golden Eagle, you will receive your Golden Eagle ID in Homeroom this week. You are then entitled to an early nutrition on Fridays. On Fridays, check in with Homeroom. Take care of business, show your teacher your GE ID, then report to me in the Cafeteria. The GE ID must be used in conjunction with your official school ID! Congratulation.

CAREER PATHWAY OF THE MONTH
This month’s Career Pathway of the Month is Public Services. There are a huge number of careers along this pathway, but they all start with three different branches: Human Services, Legal and Government Services and Protective Services. (R. VILLAGRAN)

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS
Are you interested in a career in the medical field? Los Angeles Pediatric Society offers a 3 or 4 week summer medical mentor program beginning July 2012. Students will be under the supervision of a health care educator, and shadowing medical professionals at local hospitals. Attention Juniors! You still have a chance to apply for V-Source as they have extended their deadline. Remember this program will help you get to college. Their services help you with your college application, complete the FAFSA, prepare you for the SAT, as well as how to write your personal statement and much more. CSU FULLERTON SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Attention seniors,! There is a $1,500 scholarship available for students who are applying to CSU Fullerton for Fall 2012. Applicants must be a first time freshmen student with a GPA of al least 2.05, and have significant contribution to school and/or community. EAST LOS ANGELES COLLEGE COURSES OFFERED AT BELL HIGH
Attention all students! Would you be interested in earning college credit while still in high school? Bell HS, in collaboration with East Los Angeles College, will be offering a Psychology and an Administration of Justice class. This can be a great opportunity for you to start your college education early. By completing any of these courses, you will have the opportunity to earn 3 units of college credit (transferable to UC and CSU). Come to the college center to pick up an application ASAP) (R.
