Ray Galarze Jr. - Instructor

Mr. Galarze has trained in Shotokan Karate for 12 years. He received his first degree black belt (Shodan) after five years of training. Mr. Galarze had to wait two more years to test for 2nd degree (Nidan). Finally, after another three long years, he received his 3rd degree (Sandan) in the summer of 2008. Mr. Galarze also trains with various Okinawan and Japanese weapons such as the Bo, Sai, Bokken, and Katana (sword). He has been a high school teacher for nine years and loves his job. Mr. Galarze has been married for 21 years and has two daughters in college. His wife has earned her first degree black belt and assists him with instructing. His two daughters are also black belts in Shotokan Karate.
